Has There Been a Change In CM Punk’s WWE Status?, Backstage Note on AJ Lee’s Return

 

– There has been a lot of speculation that with AJ Lee returning to WWE, her husband CM Punk could be the next to return. Speculation continued when WWE announced that they were featuring CM Punk on WrestleMania Rewind this week. Word is that there are no plans for Punk to return just yet. With Punk’s current contract expiring on July 17th, WWE sources maintain that nothing has changed with his WWE status. It’s also said that AJ’s return has “no bearing at all” on WWE’s relationship with Punk. One source believed WWE has had very little contact with Punk since he left.

 

AJ Lee Given Time Off – Where Was She Spotted?

 

– WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee was given some time off from this weekend’s live events. The Divas match in Phoenix and Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday saw The Bella Twins defeat Tamina Snuka and Summer Rae. AJ was spotted at a Chicago airport this weekend, being picked up by her boyfriend CM Punk. Below is a photo:

– Naomi was scheduled to win the WWE Divas Title from AJ Lee leading up to WrestleMania XXX. No word if that’s the case now that she may be having eye surgery. She could be out of action for a few months.

Will AJ Be Punished For Tirade Against Michelle Beadle?, WWE Officials Upset With CM Punk

It appears now that WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee will not be punished for her obscenity-laced tirade against NBC Universal personality Michelle Beadle at last week’s Tribute to the Troops event at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Pierce County, Washington.  the matter is “over and done with” after Lee and WWE Superstar boyfriend, CM Punk, were spoken to.After news of the incident caught fire online Sunday, WWE hit damage control in order to downplay the story and keep it from being reported by the mainstream media since the idea of a wrestler behaving abusive toward a celebrity “is the exact last thing they want public.” Organization officials asked Beadle—one source in WWE said “begged”—to go on Twitter and “say what happened and leave it at that.”She wrote, “Once and once only: I’ve known CM Punk for years. Considered him a friend. When I saw him at the arena, I said ‘hey f&$?face’. The exact same way I talk to everyone.

His girlfriend was no where near this. And I kept walking along with my assistant and two members of WWE PR. Next thing I know, I’m being yelled at. I honestly thought it was a joke. Period. The event went on and it was amazing. So I hope we can move on from this ridiculously lame ‘story.’ As for the crazies, BLOCKED! And Happy freaking Holidays!!!”Beadle and Punk dated for a brief period of time, with one person with knowledge of the situation describing their dating period as “a second” to F4WOnline.com.Punk confided to people close to him that he was he was unhappy with WWE’s handling of the matter. The day after the incident, he stated on Twitter, “It’s difficult to always try to do business the proper way with a company that refuses to practice the same standards.” Despite this friction, those close to him don’t expect him to bolt from the promotion, nor would company officials want him to.In a separate matter, some company officials were upset with Punk for tweeting about hockey on Sunday, since it was the day of a pay-per-view. After news of the incident surfaced, he directed a number of messages to the mascot of the Los Angeles Kings.

Mick Foley dressed as Santa Claus is out first to kick off Main Event. Foley makes it snow in the arena. Curtis Axel and Ryback interrupt him. Ryback and Axel start messing with Santa Foley until The Miz steps up to stop them. They sing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer but change the lyrics to pick on Ryback and Axel. Foley makes Axel vs. The Miz with Foley and Ryback in the corners

.* R-Truth and Xavier Woods vs. 3MB is up next. Truth and Woods get the win after a good back and forth tag match.

* AJ Lee makes her way out next to face Kaitlyn. AJ gets the win with the Black Widow.

* The Miz is out next with St. Mick to face Curtis Axel. Foley ended up hitting Ryback with Socko and Miz hit Skull Crushing Finale on Axel for the win

– Tonight’s WWE RAW with The 2013 Slammy Awards takes place from the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington. No matches have been announced for tonight’s show but Randy Orton vs. Big Show and John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio is advertised locally.

Kane Returning To Action, AJ Lee Reacts To Return,PTP

– BuzzFocus.com published an interview with WWE Superstar Kane from this past Sunday’s New York Comic-Con.

Kane revealed that filming finished last Friday, so he should be returning shortly.

AJ Lee Dealing With Another Injury?, WWE-Halloween

– Word is that WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee has been dealing with an elbow injury since mid-September.

– Fans are being encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes at the October 29th WWE SmackDown tapings from the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, FL.

Possible WWE Survivor Series Match, Backstage News On AJ Lee, Shawn Michaels & Triple H

 

– Triple H vs Big Show is being discussed for the Survivor Series pay-per-view. As We also reported, WWE may have to push the planned match between The Miz and Bray Wyatt for Hell in a Cellto the Survivor Series pay-per-view as Wyatt is not cleared to wrestle.

– WWE is keeping their distance between Shawn Michaels and Triple H so that it’s a bigger moment when they come face to face.

– As We previously reported, WWE announced that Divas Champion AJ Lee has been medically cleared to wrestle following her concussion she suffered.She probably wont be involved in an actual wrestling match until the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event, but that is always subject to change. The Bellas vs. AJ and Tamina has been discussed for the event.
